The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants set a streaming record for their Thursday Night Football matchup on Amazon Prime this week.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the game averaged 16.22 million views, which was an all-time high for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. Amazon also said the 20-15 win for Dallas was the most-streamed regular-season NFL game in history.

The streaming record for any game still belongs to last year’s wild card matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, which drew nearly 28 million viewers on Peacock in January.

Overall NFL viewership has increased in recent years. ESPN reported in January that the league averaged 17.9 million viewers in 2023, up 7 percent from the 2022 season.
