Malik Nabers posts a message after suffering a concussion in the Giants’ loss to the Cowboys

After the New York Giants’ 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, there was plenty to worry about for rookie receiver Malik Nabers Thursday Night Football.

Nabers left in the fourth quarter with a concussion that was later diagnosed. He didn’t speak to the media after the Giants’ loss — as is standard practice in the NFL for players with concussions — but he took to social media to let everyone know everything was OK.

“Everything is fine,” Nabers wrote in his Instagram story. “Thanks for all the prayers!”

With 3:30 left in the fourth quarter and the Giants facing a fourth-and-6, quarterback Daniel Jones targeted Nabers on the sideline. Nabers got his hands on the ball but couldn’t catch it and was slow to get back up after landing awkwardly on the turf.

Nabers eventually left the field and spent the final minutes of the game in the locker room. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later reported that Nabers was diagnosed with a concussion.

The 21-year-old had 12 receptions for 115 yards against the Cowboys on Thursday night, raising his total this season to 35 receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns.

Nabers’ message on Instagram means nothing for his status in the Giants’ Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 6, but the 10 days between games should help his recovery.
