Everything about Miranda Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin

It’s like something out of a romance novel: a country lover has everything but love, so her friends spot a cute girl in uniform, groom her, and the rest is history. Or in Miranda Lambert’s case, real life. The “Kerosene” singer and Country Icon Award winner at the upcoming 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards is married to former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin and the way they met is adorable.

Miranda Lambert met her husband Brendan McLoughlin in New York City

McLoughlin is a Staten Island native who joined the NYPD shortly before 2015.

Lambert told this New York Times that she met McLoughlin in 2018 when she and her music group Pistol Annies were doing press work in the Big Apple. “Our record came out the day after Halloween, and that’s what we did Good morning America. (McLoughlin) was there in charge of security for the show. “My friends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be willing to hang out with someone,” she said. “They invited him to our show behind my back. “They picked him for me.” The two were married on Valentine’s Day 2019.

Around this time, McLoughlin took a leave of absence from the NYPD and then retired.

“We started writing (music) in 2020 when we were at home, like for fun, and it was actually pretty good. He is a retired NYPD officer. I thought, ‘You’re actually pretty good,'” Lambert continued to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager TODAY. “So we wrote for this album and he dabbled in it a bit, just with me – for fun.” He is credited as co-writing Lambert’s track “Dammit Randy”.

He made his music video debut in 2020 when he starred alongside his wife in the video for her song “Settling Down.”

McLoughlin welcomed a child from a previous relationship in November 2018 People. “My stepson is great,” Lambert said Extra in 2019. “I love this whole phase and have raised a million dogs, so I feel like that part of my wife/mom thing is fulfilled, so this is a whole new journey.” It’s great.”
