Malaysia’s first Apple Store has officially opened its doors

PETALING JAYA, June 22 – Malaysia’s first-ever Apple Store has officially opened its doors to the public.

Tech enthusiasts and Apple fans were excited and waited patiently in line to enter the store at The Exchange TRX.

37-year-old designer Chen Jia from Xi’an, China, was the first to join the queue.

“I am very happy that many Malaysians can now come to the Malaysian Apple Store and discover many Apple devices.

“I have visited all the Apple Stores in China, but Malaysia is the first one I have visited abroad.”

Chen mentioned that the interiors of the Apple Stores in China and Malaysia are both stunning, although he noted that the interior in Kuala Lumpur is the most impressive he has seen so far.

“I was planning to buy a souvenir at the Apple Store and take it home to China,” he said.

Chen was the first to queue, but close behind was 25-year-old student Muhammad Irfan, who was the first Malaysian to do so.

“I wanted to come here to get a limited edition gift and also to test new products.”

He arrived with his friend around 10pm and started joining the queue at midnight, explaining that he wanted to come earlier because he was afraid of a big crowd.

“When I entered, it was a truly incredible feeling.

“I had never experienced this before.

“In my opinion, it is one of the best launch events ever,” he said.

His friend Muhammad Shauqi, 25, also a student, said he was happy that Malaysia, along with Thailand and Singapore, could now have its own Apple Store as a Southeast Asian country.

“My goal today was to experience the atmosphere at the opening of the TRX store.

“When I walked into the store, I didn’t expect this product launch to attract so many people and generate so much media attention.

“It’s really exciting,” Shauqi said.

28-year-old businessman Haziq Hanim, a die-hard Apple fan, expressed his enthusiasm for collecting Apple products for many years.

“I’m really excited because now it’s much easier to buy anything from Apple without having to wait for availability in other stores.

“I came here today specifically to get my hands on the new Apple Watch.

“This is also the only Apple Store I have visited so far and I think it’s great,” he said.

He highlighted the store’s unique experience and comprehensive presentation of Apple’s innovative products as one of the main attractions.

The doors opened around 10am and Apple employees shared their joy and welcomed people with gifts.

Some even received a signature on their gift from Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail.

The opening of the first Apple Store in Malaysia marks an important milestone in Apple’s expansion into Southeast Asia.

With over 500 stores worldwide, this newly opened location is the company’s sixth in Southeast Asia, further expanding its presence and influence in the region.
