Jimmy Kimmel criticizes Donald and Melania Trump for their merchandising activities

As the election campaign heats up 41 days before November 5, Jimmy Kimmel thwarted Donald and Melania Trump’s attempts to strengthen the Republican voter base by selling expensive MAGA merchandise.

During Kimmel’s monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday night, the comedian pulled a lot of material from Trump’s announcement of an “official” silver coin with the former president’s face on it.

“The Trump coin, you should know, costs $100. It contains $31 worth of silver,” Kimmel said. “What better embodies the essence of Donald Trump than charging the fans who love him the most three times the coin’s value?”

Kimmel joked, “$100 for a Chuck E. Cheese gift card with his head on it.”

The comedian also made fun of the coin being made of silver instead of gold. “It’s the perfect gift to send him if he comes in second in November,” he said. “We’re in the final stages of the election, where the candidates are supposed to make their final push to run this country, and this madman is having a garage sale.”

Kimmel further joked that even Trump’s wife Melania capitalized on the momentum of the election by selling MAGA merchandise.

“There’s Melania, who’s currently selling a $600 necklace that says ‘Vote Freedom,'” Kimmel said, describing the necklace as “Lady Liberty on the front and nothing behind, just like Melania herself.”
