Trinity new No. 1 team in Class 6A media poll

This week’s Kentucky High School Football media poll features two new No. 1 teams.

Trinity (4-1) moved to the top of Class 6A after Friday’s 24-21 victory over the previous No. 1 men’s team. The Shamrocks received all 16 first-place votes.

Male (3-1) dropped to second place, followed by Manual (5-0), St. Xavier (2-2) and Frederick Douglass (3-2).

Cooper (5-0) is the new No. 1 team in Class 5A, defeating No. 2 Bowling Green 151-150. Cooper and Bowling Green (4-1) both received eight first-place votes.

Boyle County (Class 4A), Christian Academy (3A), Owensboro Catholic (2A) and Campbellsville (A) retained their first place.

Trinity is the only unanimous No. 1.

The Kentucky High School Football Media Poll is conducted by 16 sportswriters across the state, with one representative from each of the 16 football regions (as determined by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association) participating to ensure geographic balance.
