“Dancing with the Stars” – Review: Anna Delvey and Tori Spelling sent home in double KO

“Dancing with the Stars” brought the glamour and magic of the movies to the ballroom on Tuesday for an evening dedicated to the Oscars.

The stars of season 33 took to the dance floor, dancing the jive, quickstep, foxtrot and more to dances inspired by Oscar-nominated films, vying for full marks from the judges.

But only one was able to achieve the highest score of the evening with its breathtaking choreography and two couples were sent home in a double elimination.

Read on to find out how the evening went.

Who was eliminated?

At the end of the evening, former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Tori Spelling and her pro partner Pasha Pashkov as well as notorious con artist Anna Delvey and her pro partner Ezra Sosa were sent home.

The total score of the couples on both nights was 36 for Spelling and Pashkov and 35 for Delvey and Sosa.

Spelling called her experience on “DWTS” “incredible” and told her five children, “I love you. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to.”

When asked what she would take away from her time on “DWTS,” Delvey replied, “Nothing.”

Highest score of the evening

The highest award of the evening went to actress Chandler Kinney and her professional partner Brandon Armstrong. The duo sang a moving rumba to “What Was I Made For?” from the film “Barbie”.

After the performance, which earned them 24 out of 30 points for both evenings and a total score of 47, Derek Hough said Kinney was “made to dance”, while Bruno Tonioli said she made the rumba “look easy”.

Close behind were basketball star Dwight Howard and his professional partner Daniella Karagach with a total score of 44 on both evenings.

Lowest score of the evening

At the bottom of the list were actor Eric Roberts and his professional partner Britt Stewart, who performed a waltz to “The Godfather Waltz” from “The Godfather.”

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said she “saw an improvement since last week” in Roberts’ dancing, but the performance earned the couple only 15 out of 30, giving them a total score of 30 for both nights.

Just ahead of Roberts and Stewart were actor Reginald VelJohnson and his partner Emma Slater with a total score of 31 on both evenings.

Who is left and what is their total score for both nights?

If you add together the ratings from last week’s premiere episode and this week’s episode, the following ratings result for all remaining couples:

Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong – 47
Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach – 44
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson – 43
