Reba McEntire made Snoop Dogg cry on ‘The Voice’ – Watch the moment

Is there anything more moving than the sight of a crying dog?

During the premiere of the 26th season of “The Voice” on September 23, new coach Snoop Dogg was moved to tears when his fellow coach Reba McEntire made an unexpected move during a blind audition.

The “Fancy” singer took advantage of the show’s newly installed coach replay button, which allows coaches to change their minds if they don’t turn their chairs after contestant Kendall Eugene finishes his audition.

After Eugene finished his rendition of Morgan Wallen’s “Don’t Think Jesus,” the coaches all complimented him, and McEntire quickly realized she had made a mistake by passing him up.

“I liked everything about it,” she said of his performance.

“(You) should have turned back,” Eugene replied.

“I wanted to say the exact same words,” McEntire countered.

“I don’t understand why I didn’t turn around,” she said a few moments later.

The “Fancy” singer then announced that she would make “Voice” history by becoming the first coach to use the replay option.

“We have something new this year, a Coach Replay button. I’m going to use mine,” she said as she pressed her button, sending the crowd into a frenzy as Eugene buried his face in his hand.

Snoop Dogg didn’t miss this moment either.

“Wow! Go hug this man,” the “Gin and Juice” rapper pleaded with McEntire.

A few seconds later, the camera panned back to Snoop, who lifted his glasses and wiped his eyes while McEntire and Eugene hugged.

“I knew in my heart that I wanted him on my team,” she said.

Snoop, meanwhile, was still feeling the effects of the moment and dabbed at his eyes once more. He also became emotional at another point in the episode when fellow contestant Michael Bublé took the stage to sing with contestant Ben Fagerstedt.

The duo teamed up for a performance of Frank Sinatra’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.”

“Damn, that was one hell of a coaching session,” Snoop said, receiving a standing ovation.
