Trent Sisley signs with the Indiana Hoosiers

play

BLOOMINGTON – Trent Sisley, one of Indiana’s oldest junior players in the class of 2025, joined the Hoosiers on Monday, bringing the former Heritage Hills star home.

Sisley, a top-100 four-star player according to Rivals and 247Sports, spent the first three years of his prep career at Heritage Hills before transferring to prestigious prep school Montverde Academy this summer. Sisley will be the latest Montverde product to join the Hoosiers, following players such as Jalen Hood-Schifino and Malik Reneau. Another Montverde player, Liam McNeeley, had committed to IU last year before withdrawing his commitment and choosing UConn instead.

“That’s a big compromise.” Why Trent Sisley moved to Montverde

Insider: IU is refocusing its recruiting efforts on the state after looking beyond Indiana’s borders for years

Even though Sisley will graduate from a private Florida private school, he is essentially Mike Woodson’s first recruit from a high school graduating class in the state since he returned to coach his alma mater.

Sisley brings stretch-forward skills to college and is portrayed as the type of flexible two-way big that Mike Woodson was able to successfully develop in Bloomington..

We will be covering Sisley in much more detail on indystar.com, including an emergency podcast, “Mind Your Banners.”

Insider: Mike Woodson has gone where the talent is, and in the class of 2025, that is his own backyard.
