Chef Romy Guiot opens another French vegan pastry shop

Chef Romuald “Romy” Guiot works at a French vegan bakery at 169 W Green Street In Located in Pasadena, 1.7 km from Pasadena Convention Center and 2.1 km from Pasadena Convention Center. called The Cave. Chef Guiot tells What Now Los Angeles that the new store’s grand opening is planned for October. The concept will also include a wine bar and serve plated desserts.

Chef Guiot also owns ID-Eclair, another French vegan patisserie in Pasadena. There he serves a variety of vegan and gluten-free sweets, including desserts in a jar, edible cookie spoons, cookies, biscuits, canneles, macaroons and more. The shop also offers cooking classes.

Guiot is a fourth-generation chef and a finalist on Season 8 of the Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship. He grew up in France and discovered his love of the culinary arts while spending time at his grandfather’s restaurant. Before moving to the United States, he worked as a head chef for several bakeries in France.
