Jason Kelce may no longer play football, but he still shows his enthusiasm for the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Monday night, the 36-year-old former NFL pro filmed an introduction for “Monday Night Countdown” in which he poked fun at his fashion faux pas from last week when he had to buy a last-minute outfit before his new hosting job.
In the clip, Kelce is seen trying to get into the Eagles’ locker room, where he is greeted by the team’s head of security, Dom “Big Dom” DiSandro, who reminds him that he no longer works there.
However, when the former center complains that he has nothing to wear other than his current muscle shirt, DiSandro hands him a bright green tracksuit, quickly solving the outfit dilemma.
“A tuxedo from South Philly? That’s perfect,” Kelce announces, giving his buddy a high five and screaming excitedly as he walks away.
“Yes, Dom! Let’s go, baby!”
Although the interaction was part of a skit, that didn’t stop Kelce from wearing the jacket with the “Italia” crest on the chest and matching pants before the Eagles’ game against the Atlanta Falcons.
He even took the stage and showed off his colorful combination while dancing to the music, prompting Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce’s teammate on the Kansas City Chiefs, to comment on his moves.
“😂😂😂😂😂 Then go crazy!! @JasonKelce,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Kelce managed to switch things up a bit before hosting the show by donning a sleek green suit with a white button-down shirt.
Last week, the father of three made headlines after his debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” when he admitted he had to buy a shirt at Lululemon because he forgot his clothes.
“It fits my stomach now; I’ve lost a bit of weight, but my breasts are still having problems,” he joked, pointing to the gaping buttons of his white shirt.
Travis couldn’t help but comment on his brother’s faux pas and shared his thoughts on the look in the comments section of ESPN’s Instagram account.
“I’m surprised he even bought a new one and didn’t just walk around shirtless,” he joked.
However, Jason’s outfit was not the only one that came under criticism recently.
On the podcast “New Heights,” the elder Kelce also made fun of the complete Gucci look that Travis wore at the US Open, which the tight end attended with his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift.
“You went to a country club,” Jason noted of the look, which included a cardigan, polo shirt and bucket hat from the brand.
“It was tennis. What should I do?” Travis replied, defending his dapper ensemble.
I can’t wait for next week’s outfit, Jason!
