It’s a battle of the top 25 teams this Saturday afternoon. College GameDay may have been at the wrong address in Columbia, but the Eagles are here and ready to “shock the world.” Mizzou has won 18 straight non-conference games, while BC is looking to score its second straight road win against a top-10 opponent.
The line has shifted significantly in Boston College’s favor to 14.5 after starting as a 17.5-point underdog. The point total is also down two points to 52.5. Personally, of course, I’m picking the Eagles in a lower-scoring game – look for explosive plays on one side and force the Tigers to be methodical. Good news for the Eagles secondary, as Pete Thamel reports that #29 Cam Martinez returns from injury today and will play nickel. Great for the DBs, who are going up against probably the best receiver group they’ll see all season. Also, look for punter Ivan Zivenko (#35) to have a couple of shots to win the year after a rough start for Sam Candotti.
