According to an Instagram post shared on her official account on Friday, September 13, Michaela’s team confirmed the news of her death. The caption began, “Rest in Peace: Ballerina Michaela Mabinty DePrince.”

Michaela’s team emphasized that the late dancer “was a beacon of hope for many and showed that regardless of the obstacles, beauty and greatness can emerge even from the darkest places.”
