Camila Cabello wore a variety of ornate details in her strapless dress on the 2024 MTV VMAs red carpet in New York City on Wednesday. The “I Luv It” singer paired her dress for the music industry awards show with a black veil with intricate lace details.
Cabello opted for a look from Tony Ward’s Fall 2024 Couture collection. The strapless dress featured a fitted silhouette for a defined waist and a slim skirt. Intricate beading and patterns were all over the dress, giving the dress an illusion effect on a nude fabric.
Cabello accessorized the dress with a black lace-trimmed veil that fell over her arms. The L’Oréal Paris spokeswoman accessorized her look with several cross-themed necklaces. Although Cabello wore blonde locks over the summer, she had jet-black hair.
Cabello’s look was curated by stylist Katie Qian, who also worked with singer Tyla on her viral look for the 2024 Met Gala.
Lebanese-Italian fashion designer Ward’s pieces have been worn by other A-list celebrities over the past year. Janelle Monáe styled one of the designer’s looks for the NFL Honors in Las Vegas last February.
Monáe wore a mirrored minidress by the designer, which made its runway debut as part of Ward’s Spring 2024 Couture collection.
Cabello is nominated for two 2024 MTV VMAs. The singer received nominations for Best Trending Video for her song “I Luv It” featuring Playboi Carti and is nominated for Best Pop Artist.
The MTV VMAs honor the best music videos, artists and songs of the year. Megan Thee Stallion will make her hosting debut during the 2024 ceremony, which will take place on September 11 at UBS Stadium in Elmont, New York. Katy Perry will receive the honorary Video Vanguard Award, while artists up for grabs include Sabrina Carpenter, Lenny Kravitz, Eminem and Karol G.
