FlightAware’s map shows that Seattle-Tacoma International Airport experienced exceptional conditions on Saturday as fog and smoke reduced visibility.
As of 3:30 p.m., FlightAware reported that there were 506 delays and four cancellations at the airport today.
On Saturday afternoon, arrivals at the airport were delayed by an average of one hour and four minutes. Departures were delayed by an average of about half an hour.
Poor visibility and an equipment issue are causing delays at SEA this morning. The airport is using the third runway for departures until conditions improve. Please check with your airline for the status of your flight. pic.twitter.com/N2PM8BPl5m
