50 Cent mocks NYC Mayor Eric Adams over federal charges

As 50 Cent once rapped, “When it rains, it pours.” After constantly pestering Diddy about his arrest, the G-Unit boss responded to the charges against Eric Adams on Thursday (September 26).

While a documentary about Diddy’s allegations was already in the works, 50 teased his fans about whether he should make a separate documentary about the New York mayor’s legal troubles and turbulent tenure.

50 released a clip in September 2023 of Mayor Adams calling himself the “bad boy of politics” before handing Diddy the key to New York City, which he revoked in June following a flurry of lawsuits against the bad boy CEO .

“This shit is getting crazy out here! Would you like a documentary series about Eric Adams? I want to know what the fuck is going on here,” he captioned the clip.

Uncle Murda laughed in the comments, while ’50s fans seemed excited by the idea. “At 50, he may be the funniest non-comedian of all time. I applaud him,” one person wrote. “These documentaries will be great,” another added.

Accordingly CNNEric Adams was hit with five federal indictments on Wednesday (September 25) for “bribery, wire fraud, conspiracy and solicitation of campaign contributions” from foreign parties. The alleged illegal actions date back to 2014.

“For nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businessmen and at least one Turkish government official who sought to gain influence over him,” the indictment says.

On Wednesday (September 25th) diversity reported that 50 Cent’s Diddy docuseries will be making its home on Netflix. The untitled documentary will revolve around Combs’ lawsuits, sexual assault and abuse allegations, but will also include his recent federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

50 is on board as an executive producer through his G-Unit film and television division, while Alexandria Stapleton is directing. “This is a story with significant human impact. “It is a complex narrative that spans decades and is not limited to the headlines or clips we have seen so far,” 50 and Stapleton said in a joint statement diversity. “We remain true to our commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless and presenting authentic and nuanced perspectives.”

A spokesperson for 50 Cent previously confirmed this billboard that the proceeds from the project will go to supporting victims of sexual assault and rape.
