1. Summer weekend brunch at Aqua

This is ideal for some air-conditioned fun with the kids. On Saturday, Tsim Sha Tsui Restaurant hosts a Japanese dance drama, The Shibuya Showand on Sunday there will be a children’s play festival with a ball pit, face painting and more.

The brunch menu (HK$688) on both days features the chef’s sushi and sashimi platter with several main courses and free-flow beverage packages.

2. Saturday night review at Melody

For a boozy evening of music and fantastic food, head to Melody in Sai Ying Pun on Hong Kong Island.

For HK$788, you’ll get 2½ hours of unlimited drinks, including Prosecco and Peach Gimlets, and a three-course meal of your choice of dishes, including baked bone marrow, whole squid stuffed with rice and tiramisu, served tableside.

3. Lively summer brunch in semi-buffet form at Umami

On August 10, Umami will offer a semi-buffet brunch (HK$788) with choice of main course, unlimited starters and desserts, and beer, house wine or soft drinks. For fans of ikura (salmon roe), the premium University Don with overflowing ikura you definitely have to try it.

4. Mexican Summer Festival at The Grill

When the sun is shining, you can also party poolside at Grand Hyatt’s The Grill, which offers a tequila weekend brunch (HK$658) and barbecue dinner (HK$628). Indulge in Mexican treats like empanadas and lamb tacos.

For an additional HK$380, you can enjoy unlimited margaritas, sparkling wine and house wines.

5. Hygge Haven Afternoon Tea at The Luxe Manor

Luxe Manor has partnered with Hong Kong fragrance brand BeCandle to offer a Hygge Haven afternoon tea (HK$638 for two), inspired by the Danish philosophy of coziness and contentment.

The tea service includes roast venison with honey mustard on a cracker, chanterelle terrine and Swedish apple crumble cake. Guests can take home a pine-scented room spray, a travel candle and a travel bag.
