49ers News: Jake Moody gives the Niners their first Scorigami of the year

The San Francisco 49ers beat the New York Jets in convincing fashion on Monday night. Jordan Mason made people forget about Christian McCaffrey for a moment while Brock Purdy played point guard and the 49ers scored at will.

On the other side of the ball, the defense was effective, letting Aaron Rodgers do everything while shutting down New York’s big-play weapons Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson. It was a team win that included multiple field goals from Jake Moody.

Was a 32-19 win impressive? Of course it was. Was that the most remarkable thing that happened tonight? Absolutely not. We had an NFL scorigami thanks to the unique scoreline – when a game ends in a way that has never happened before.

Six field goals in one game will certainly throw the score out of control, but the Jets also scored two touchdowns without converting the point after a try.

Of course, the 49ers would like to increase their efficiency in penetrating their opponent’s territory, but thanks to Moody’s breakthrough, we have the 108th unique final score in NFL history.
