The premiere of Joan Vassos’ season of “The Golden Bachelorette” is scheduled for September 18. The male cast includes a girl’s father, a private investor and more.
Joan Vassos, former “Golden Bachelor” actress, is the first ABC lead actress to look for a second chance at love in the first “Golden Bachelorette.” In fact, she has 24 chances, because 24 men are vying for her affection.
Vassos, 61, a private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, was one of the top contestants for the show following the success of “The Golden Bachelor,” USA TODAY exclusively revealed in February.
Vassos spent a romantic evening with Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner on last year’s show and became a fan favourite after she decided to leave her daughter for health reasons.
But Vassos is back on “The Golden Bachelorette,” where she’s looking for a second chance at love in her golden years. She told USA TODAY, “You have to kiss a few frogs to find your prince.”
