0,000 Powerball ticket sold in Mena

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – Powerball players who recently purchased a ticket in the western Arkansas town of Mena will need to check their tickets.

Arkansas Scholarship Lottery officials said Monday morning that a $100,000 ticket was sold for the Saturday evening drawing at the Exxon station at 901 Highway 71 North.

ASL officials said the winning ticket matched four of five numbers from Saturday’s drawing, as well as the Powerball. The player’s additional $1 PowerPlay option doubled the prize from $50,000 to $100,000.

“We are very pleased with the $100,000 Powerball ticket sold in Mena this past weekend,” said ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong. “Our players are the focus of our lottery and we look forward to the lucky winner collecting their prize.”

The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.

Arkansas LOTTO jackpot rises to over $3 million

Including the big winner in Mena, ASL officials reported that 3,485 winning Powerball tickets were sold in Arkansas for Saturday’s drawing. Lottery officials added that there were also seven players who won $1,500 each in the Arkansas LOTTO drawing that same evening.

The next Powerball jackpot drawing is scheduled for Monday evening and the top prize is estimated at $315 million.

State officials say the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery program has funded more than $1.4 billion in scholarships for Natural State students. Players have seen more than $5 billion in prizes while another $178 million in state and federal tax revenue was generated.
